Our Story
Summit Stays was founded from a passion for property, design, travel, and creating unforgettable experiences for families and business travellers alike.
Our journey began in Adelaide, South Australia, where founder Tania Hayward started working in the real estate field as an Accountant in 1997, and co-founder Darren Hayward built a career in the construction of steel-framed homes and painting and decorating.
Tania gained her real estate sales license in 2003, and together they combined their expertise and love of real estate by renovating, constructing, flipping, and selling over 30 properties all while raising two boys and working in managerial careers.
Over the past 12 years, Tania, Darren, and their family have travelled around Australia and to over 15 countries, which ignited a desire to create a business in the short-term rental market.
We now continue creating not just homes, but also exceptional stays that inspire lasting memories for families, couples, and business travellers, where every visit is a celebration of comfort, connection, and adventure.
